Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer to provide support to a Navy customer based at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Panama City. The Information Assurance Engineer will work with a team of Electrical, Communications, Information Assurance and Aerospace Engineers, Logistic Specialists, Technical Writers, and Test Specialists to provide research, analysis, planning, engineering, assessments, development, and integration of software products (including firmware and embedded software components within hardware systems) that are compatible and interoperable with existing systems. This team will lead efforts contributing to the development and sustainment of small unmanned aerial systems to meet the margining needs of the warfighter as well as various intelligence organizations. 

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. 
  • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. 
  • Applies expertise to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.  Examples could include command and control-related networks.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO), Authority to Connect (ATC) documentation, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Validation

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
