Barbaricum is seeking a capable administrative specialist to provide support to a Special Operations customer located at Fort Bragg, NC, specifically providing services to the J3 function.
 

Responsibilities

  • Provide typing, word processing, data entry and related services.
  • Maintain action suspense logs and calendars, file documents, generate and edit documentation and prepare requests for office supplies.
  • Provide a system for indexing/archiving program historical documents.
  • Prepare artwork, charts, viewgraphs, and graphs and convert them into slides for meetings and briefings.
  • Attend conferences and meetings, record notes and minutes, and prepare, publish and distribute these notes, minutes, summary reports, and presentation materials.
  • Prepare Senior Staff travel through Defense Travel System (DTS) and communicate these arrangements with other agencies involved with the travel plan.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance required (SCI eligibility preferred)
  • Associates Degree or higher with 6 years Administrative Assistant work experience; experience supporting Special Operations a plus
  • Experience supporting a Military Operations function (J3, G3 level, etc.)
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office, with a special emphasis on Excel and Access.
  • Ability to brief/interact with senior leadership
  • Attention to detail (Data Entry and the requirements of correct and accurate data tracking, ability to adhere to established work processes)
  • Articulate writing and speaking ability

Desired Qualifications

  • US ARMY or SOCOM administrative experience; experience supporting Awards and Decorations Program activities a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of Special Operations
  • Able to learn on the job and thrive in open dynamic situations
