Barbaricum seeks a Linux Systems Administrator to join a team of IT professionals, developers, and engineers supporting a classified program within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities. This position will be responsible for maintaining the smooth and secure operation of various systems, serving as a first line of defense against threats impacting the efficiency and security of servers. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to track monitoring alerts, resolving outages and recording lessons learned to mitigate against future issues.
 

Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology-related field desired
  • 2+ years of relevant applied technical experience
  • Demonstrated experience administering Linux-based systems and hardening operating systems
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot server hardware failures and replace components
  • Experience patching and configuring in large-scale environments
  • Understanding of database configuration and web server technologies
