Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide support to a Navy customer based at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Panama City. The Project Manager will help lead and work with a team of Electrical, Communications, Information Assurance and Aerospace Engineers, Logistic Specialists, Technical Writers, and Test Specialists to provide research, analysis, planning, engineering, assessments, development, and integration of software products (including firmware and embedded software components within hardware systems) that are compatible and interoperable with existing systems. This team will lead efforts contributing to the development and sustainment of small unmanned aerial systems to meet the margining needs of the warfighter as well as various intelligence organizations. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of studies and analyses of logistics, supportability, design, engineering, technology assessments, financial, operational, personnel, and systems engineering and requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with the end-user organization for prototype or updated systems.
  • Consult with the end-user on operational and tactical changes and adjustments as a result of lessons learned during assessments, early field deployment, or as the result of discussions with members of the project team.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with the end-user organization and perform ongoing testing and technical troubleshooting of the delivered systems to develop update and enhancement recommendations and lessons learned.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any scientific, technical, or managerial discipline
  • 12+ years of full-time professional experience working in engineering, scientific, or technical disciplines in IT systems support
  • Experience as primary point of contact for contractor’s tasking, including ability to direct a multidisciplined team of technical experts, manage staffing and resources, develop cost and schedules estimates, provide metrics, and prepare budget and status reports
