Barbaricum is hiring a Systems Engineer to support the development and institutionalization of engineering lifecycle processes for Navy software platforms. This role will focus on systems modeling, SDLC process integration, and CMMI Maturity Level III implementation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Define and document system lifecycle models tailored to evolving software requirements
- Support the development and refinement of process improvement plans aligned with CMMI standards
- Partner with stakeholders to analyze engineering gaps and propose scalable solutions
- Assist project managers with system documentation and reporting to ensure compliance
- Provide guidance on tool adoption, system traceability, and performance monitoring frameworks
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience developing lifecycle models, SDLC processes, and CMMI implementation strategies
- Background in Navy systems engineering or software sustainment environments
