BARBARICUM COMMUNICATIONS CONTINUES AWARD-WINNING WORK FOR DCSA

Barbaricum mission-critical support for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency results in Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, and Public Relations Society of America–National Capital Chapter Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 19, 2021 – Barbaricum’s integrated communications support for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) won three awards this season. This includes two awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP)—the Gold MarCom Award and the Gold AVA Digital Award—and one from the Public Relations Society of America–National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) National Capital Excellence in Communication Awards, formerly the Thoth Awards.

Barbaricum provides essential branding and change management services to DCSA that supported the agency’s successful rebrand from the Defense Security Service as it took on the federal government’s background investigation mission from the Office of Personnel Management’s National Background Investigation Bureau and other elements. Barbaricum delivers mission-critical integrated communication efforts to DCSA, including strategic communication and planning, brand management, graphic design, social media, 508 compliance / accessibility services, writing and editing, as well as reporting and analysis.

In November 2020, AMCP awarded the DCSA Commemorative Issue of ACCESS Magazine the Gold MarCom Award. In December 2020, PRSA-NCC also recognized the same issue with the National Capital Excellence in Communication Certificate of Excellence. These awards come on top of the Defense Media Activity Award won earlier in the year for the Commemorative Issue. Separately, AMCP awarded the DCSA Inaugural Issue of Gatekeeper Magazine the Gold AVA Digital Award this January.

“It’s exciting to see DCSA work continue to be named best in class by multiple communications and marketing associations,” Brandon Bloodworth, Barbaricum Partner said. “Congratulations to the agency and Team Barbaricum for the continued success. Ensuring we support our client’s missions is why we do this work. We’re grateful to provide integrated communications services to DCSA and look forward to celebrating more award-winning work for the agency!”
